Hi there,

I decided to open up this page inviting you to propose interesting topics you would like to see in this blog. It’s more like an open wish-list available for you all, to propose new topics you would like information on.

How to do it ?
Comments are open for this page as well as for all the articles in this blog. Please provide an accurate email address (won’t be published) for follow-up correspondence on the topic you proposed. I’ll be adding here projected article ideas too, for your preview and vote on.

So, what would you like to read today ? :)

Have fun!

  1. Doing your business using free software.

I’ve been thinking for a while about what a treasure the open source free software is for new businesses start-ups. A lot of useful applications able to do almost anything you would do with proprietary software.

Still, when discussing with friends and clients about business ideas and resources needed to start a new business, many of them emphasize the cost of licenses. Even if the Internet is full of information about existing free software, there are still people not knowing that you could for instance build a whole editing house without the need of Photoshop, QuarkXPress, etc. (see my article on Scribus for instance).

How about a series articles on possible business ideas using the free open source software packages that would do the job ?

  2. I would like to read about local organizations that use OpenOffice.org

    How many do use it?
How do they us OOo? What applications for what business cases?
What are the IT challenges, such as support, deployment, upgrade, integration?

    K
Busy, providing technical support for OpenOffice.org
